Korbus audiowizualny

Korbus/Połynko to spotkanie na równych prawach dwóch różnych form sztuki: obrazu
i dźwięku. Spotkanie które rozpoczęło się na gruncie nowych mediów pod postacią
improwizowanych koncertów adiowizualnych. Ten pierwszy krok w naszych poszukiwaniach
bazuje na przetwarzanych dźwiękach i obrazach video

Poezja Audiowizualna

Nojsy, fuzje, konfuzje. Obrazy snu i obrazy przebudzenia. Jak się czujesz? – Nie wiem. Świat
ponowoczesny, synkretyczny. Poezja wobec oddzielenia duszy od ciała, rozumu od uczuć,
sacrum od profanum. Z człowieka dla człowieka na żywo. Obrazy, słowa i muzyka. Dużo
improwizacji.

Muzyka: Maciej Połynko

Obrazy i słowa: Paweł Korbus

Korbus/Połynko is a meeting, on equal terms, of two different forms of art: image and sound;
a meeting, which first took place on the ground of new media in the form of improvised audio-
visual concerts. This first step in our experiments was based on processed sounds and
video images. The next step is supposed to be reflection on the acoustic-material form and
interpassivity. The new Wind Project, signed by the Korbus/Połynko duo, intends to work
on construction and utilization of acoustic instruments, whose resonance is caused by air
movement.

Upon the completion of the initial phase of construction and investigation of their
tonal and spacial potentials, the instruments are intended to be used to create instalations
and interpassive concerts in open (using natural wind) and enclosed spaces (using artificial
wind sources, which usually generate additional sounds). The aeolian harp served as a
pretext to start working on the project. The aeolian harp’s origins are associated with Greece
of 2nd century BC; its heyday, however, was the age of Romanticism, when this instrument
was often placed on house roofs and in parks. Being a simple acoustic instrument, which
does not require human interference to make sounds, the aeolian harp in its tone is close to
contemporary experiments on the ground of classical and electronic music.
